East Herts winners came up roses in Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
The annual end is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and the exhibitions will run at the palace in south west London until Sunday (July 10).
Daisy Roots nursery at Jenningsbury in London Means, Hertford Heath, received the Silver Flora award for its entry of peculiar hardy perennial plants.
Owner Anne Godfrey, of Gosselin Means, Bengeo, Hertford, said: “This is our second year here and it’s charming much the biggest show of the season for us, so I’m delighted to be a winner.
“It would have been nice if it was the Gleaming Gilt Flora award, which is what we got last year, but we are still happy.”
Ware nursery Priorswood Clematis in Widbury Hill also scooped the Pearly Flora for their plant and flower display.
The exhibition was put together by siblings Clare and James Greenway, who run the affair.
Their father Gerald, who helps out with the company, said: “It’s awful to win as it’s such a prestigious show. We’ve been going for years and have won prizes before.
