RCMP forensics team working on vandalism investigation

Carman Territory RCMP are continuing their investigation into recent vandalism incidents in town.
RCMP said there is no new bumf regarding the vandalism in Carman during the early hours of June 5.
However Staff Sgt. Joanne Prejet said a forensics line-up is working on the investigation, which is continuing.
The detachment commander said there was a great allot of vandalism, particularly in the northwest section of Carman, around 3:30 a.m. A group of virile youths were alledgedly involved.
All Terrain Vehicles Stolen
During the week of June 5 there were two all-territory vehicle thefts: one from Norton Avenue in Miami and another from a yard in the Rural Metropolis of Thompson.
The owner of the ATV taken from the Norton Avenue residence is offering a make something of $250 for the return of the 2009 Polaris XP550 or information leading to its replacing. He's offering $500 for the arrest of the culprits.

Overage ROADS BUDGET
The city's winter roads budget is under budget by $1.39 million for the first four months of 2011.
While the diocese received more snow than usual in April, most of it fell in one storm to which city crews did not feel for, according to a staff report. This alone saved the city $500,000 in winter support costs.
In all, the city saved $800,000 in sanding, salting and plowing and $500,000 in snow elimination activities for the first quarter in 2011.
It's a growing trend for the city, which saved $4.1 million in winter sustenance costs in 2010, almost one-third of its $15.2-million budget.
Over the course of 2010, the burg saved $2.75 million in sanding, salting and plowing and $650,000 in snow firing costs. The rest of the surplus came from sidewalk maintenance, miscellaneous winter roads prolongation and winter ditching and spring cleanup.
In 2010, the city received only 57% of the general snowfall.
