Over 100 artists put their labour on display at the inaugural Open Arts Fest at the Pearl Street Mall Saturday, the first of two days the art fete will be running in downtown Boulder.
While Downtown Boulder, Inc. has been holding an art festival in the summer for over 30 years on Flower Street, this year it teamed with local nonprofit Open Arts to say new life into the event.
"Downtown Boulder has been doing this for 33 years, and we impartial felt it was time for a freshening up," said Anna Salim, a co-director of the Apparent Arts Fest. "It`s a great community event highlighting what Boulder has to tender the high arts."
